ArtsEdSEL assists with systematic approaches to development and implementation of policies that will lead to embedding SEL into arts education at the local, state, and national levels.
Objectives:
- Ensure SEL is a priority for organizations that have considerable influence upon, and engagement with, local, state, and national stakeholder groups
- Assist organizations in the development of policies, statements of purpose, standards, and advocacy documents based upon SEL-informed arts education
- Provide model policies for SEL-based arts education to federal, state, and local educational agencies
- Utilize SEL-based arts education as a conduit for educational and societal equity
- Highlight model schools and districts exemplifying excellent policy approaches for SEL-based arts education practices
