PUTTING SEL CENTER STAGE

Artistic SEL intentionally embeds life skill development into artistic processes and practices in service of student empowerment to enrich both artistic fluency and human development.

APPROACH

There is not just one way or prescriptive technique to embed SEL into arts education. The Center’s approach guides educators to better understand their practice and their classroom as a rich space for social and emotional growth through the Arts.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Our support includes peer to peer professional learning and community building to meet the needs of school admin istrators, teachers, and community educators. We focus on supporting art educators as well as more general audiences seeking to embed arts practices to engage students, pre-k-16, through powerful SEL practices. All professional learning can be offered in-person or remotely.
